About me

Over the past 25 years, I've worked in almost every imaginable area of design, with a particular focus on visual identity and interface design projects. I've collaborated on advertising campaigns, illustrated stories and book covers, designed websites, apps, and video games, and created characters, among other things.
I've worked closely with other freelancers, but I've also been part of large and small teams, both very young and very experienced, learning a great deal in every situation.

My work

In the last five years, I've focused particularly on exploring my work as an illustrator, and combining it with my design work. I enjoy developing all kinds of projects in which illustration can provide a decisive value. This covers many areas. From offering alternative readings in editorial content to building complete narratives for books and games, or helping consolidate identity projects.
Currently, I divide my time between commercial work for clients and more personal projects—often self-initiated—in any medium where images, words, and/or interaction combine to tell stories.
Formally, my work is inevitably influenced by graphic design, classic European and American comic books, animation and contemporary illustration, with an important focus on characters and the clarity and legibility of the images.

My newsletter: In The Cave
Along the way, I've written hundreds of articles on art, design, and technology, many of which are buried online in old blogs, but I currently write a brief, humble newsletter: In the Cave. There, I share reflections, recommendations on art, culture & design, or just show advances on personal and commercial projects. Currently, it's the best place to stay in touch with me or my work.
